The Company employs Autocad and traditional methodology to develop designs, and utilizes Autohydro in the final design to prove stability in the Intact and Damaged Condition.

Ship Management

The Company has a Canadian-based joint venture with world renowned ship managers, Denholm’s of Glasgow. The joint company is Canscot Ship Management Ltd., which shares its headquarters with M.D.A. Marine Design Associates Ltd.

Evaluations

The Company’s reputation has allowed it to evaluate and place a market valuation on individual vessels as well as an entire fleet. The results either underwrite the risk or place a fair market value between a willing seller and a willing buyer.

ISM Code/ISO Standards

In Quality Assurance and Safety Management (ISM Code) M.D.A. are sub-Agents and Associate Consultants for Canada and the U.S. West Coast for Ferriby Marine of England. As such ISO9000 Series & ISM Code Courses are offered at various locations, which are accredited by the International Register of Certified Auditors. (IRCA) Courses are specifically tailored to the Maritime industry. Additionally, MDA are the regional office of the International Association of Independent Marine Auditors (I.A.I.M.A.).

MDA Utilizes state of the art design methods to provide feasibility studies, cost estimates, detailed design in naval architecture, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
